Of the 30 nights in the Mā'ohi calendar, some carry projects forward and others slow them down. The 5 best nights to start, sign or open.
The night you start sets the rhythm of the project
That's what the elders said. Launch on Tireo (new moon) — it grows slowly, deeply, like a root. Launch on Hotu — it bears fruit fast and abundantly. Launch on Korekore tutahi — it scatters.

The 5 best nights to start a project
🌱 1. Tireo (night #1) — For long projects
Best for: things that should last (business, book, move). Why: the new moon is pure intention without noise. What grows then has roots. Concrete action: write your intention, light a candle, meditate 10 minutes.
🛶 2. Hiro (night #2) — For strategic projects
Best for: outwitting obstacles, negotiating, going around. Why: Hiro is the Polynesian hero, a brilliant navigator. His night helps you find paths. Concrete action: write the full plan, identify the 3 main obstacles and how you'll bypass them.
🌺 3. Hotu (night #13) — For fertile projects
Best for: visible results fast (shop, event, birth). Why: Hotu is the ripening fruit. The moon climbs to full. Concrete action: sign first contracts, hire, make your first sale.
🐟 4. Tangaroa a mua (night #24) — For ambitious projects

The 3 "void" nights. Energy is withdrawing. Time to close what's running, not to start new.
🛌 Mahina (night 30)
The moon disappears. Sacred rest. Starting then is starting on empty.
