The problem with sun signs
Comparing two sun signs means comparing two twelfths of the population. It gives a general mood, not a relationship.
Thousands of happy couples have supposedly 'incompatible' signs, and the reverse is just as true. That is not where it plays out.
What synastry looks at
Synastry overlays two complete charts and observes the angles one person's planets form with the other's.
- Moon to Moon — do the needs for safety resemble each other, or collide?
- Venus and Mars — are the way of loving and the way of desiring in tune?
- One person's Rising on the other's planets — immediate attraction.
- Saturn — what structures the relationship, and what holds it back.
Tension does not mean incompatibility
A couple chart with no tension at all is often a chart with no movement. Squares create friction, and it is frequently that friction that makes a relationship last rather than the one that wears it out.
What matters is knowing where it sits: on needs, on pace, on money, on how you argue.
What an honest reading will not do
It will never tell you to leave someone, will give no date for a break-up or a meeting, and will not claim to know what the other person thinks. It describes a dynamic — the decisions stay yours.
